A sick woman meets Jesus – Mark 5:25-33

Jesus crossed to the other side of lake Galilee in a boat. He got out of the boat. A big crowd gathered round him.

A woman who had been ill for twelve years was in the crowd. She had been to see lots of doctors. She had spent all her money. She wanted to get better. But she had got worse.

Then the sick woman heard about Jesus. She knew that if she touched Jesus she would be well. So she went up to him. She touched his coat. She felt better at once. She knew Jesus had made her better.

But Jesus knew somebody had touched him and been made well again. He looked around the crowd and said, 'Who touched me?'

The disciples said to Jesus, 'Lots of people are round you. They are all touching you.' But Jesus kept on looking around to see who touched him.

The woman was afraid. She went up to Jesus and fell down at his feet. She told Jesus what she had done. She told him the truth. She told Jesus he had made her better.

Jesus smiled. He said to her, 'You are better because you believed and trusted me. Go home now and be happy and well.'

1. The sick woman knew Jesus could make her better.

2. She knew Jesus was a good man.

3. She looked for Jesus. She wanted to meet him.

4. She trusted Jesus and so she was made well. 5. She was happy for the rest of her life.
