How can I download EasyEnglish files?
Most EasyEnglish files are available in HTML format. Some files are also available in RTF format.
- HTML is the standard format for Web pages.
- RTF (Rich Text Format) is a common format for word processor documents.
If you are using a laptop or desktop computer, you can usually download a file by following steps 1-5 below:
- Use your Web browser to view the file you want to download.
- Right-click anywhere on the file.
- Select "Save as". (On some browsers, you may need to select "File" from the main menu and then select "Save As".)
- Choose a folder on your computer where you want to save the file.
- Click "Save".
If you are using an iPhone or iPad, you can save a page to your Reading List:
- Open the page in Safari.
- Tap the Action button (the square button with the arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap "Add to Reading List".
- To open your Reading List, tap the Bookmarks button (the button that looks like an open book), then tap the Reading List tab (it’s the icon that looks like a pair of reading glasses).
If you have an Android phone or tablet, you can save the page as PDF:
- Open the page you want to save in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap "Print".
- Once Android has finished creating a preview of the page you want to save, tap the "Save to" drop-down menu at the top of the page.
What can I do to help the EasyEnglish team?
We are always pleased when people ask us what they can do to help the EasyEnglish project. There are a number of things that you can do to help us.
If you have your own website, it would help us if you can add a link from your website to the EasyEnglish website. The correct URL for the link is www.easyenglish.bible
You can also help us by telling your friends about our website. Many people who contact us tell us that they found out about our website from a friend.
Can I copy documents from your website onto CD-ROMs?
You are welcome to distribute EasyEnglish documents on CDs, but please remember:
- Do not change the theological meaning of the text in any way.
- Do not remove the copyright statements and other contact information contained in the files.
- Do not sell the CDs for profit.
- Do not copy text from the EasyEnglish website and publish it on the Web.
- Do not copy text from the EasyEnglish website and publish it in an app.
- If you want to distribute a lot of CDs – more than 10 – please let us know because it is always encouraging for members of the EasyEnglish team to know where our materials are being used; please email us to let us know.
Can I get a copy of EasyEnglish documents on a CD-ROM?
Our main method of distributing EasyEnglish Bible translations, Commentaries and Bible Studies is through our website, but we do sometimes send out a copy of our EasyEnglish materials on a CD-ROM.
You can ask us to send you a CD-ROM if:
- the Internet connection in your country is not reliable
- you want a copy for a library
- you have some other special reason why you need a CD-ROM
