The story of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife – Genesis 39

God was with Joseph in Egypt.
He looked after him. He blessed him.
Potiphar liked Joseph.
He put him in charge of all his house.
He trusted Joseph.
God blessed Potiphar and his family
because Joseph lived with them.

Joseph was good looking.
Potiphar’s wife liked him a lot.
She asked Joseph to kiss her.
Joseph would not kiss her. He knew it was wrong.
Potiphar’s wife kept on asking Joseph.
One day she pulled his coat off.
She said, “Come to bed with me.”
Joseph ran away. He knew it was wrong.
He left his coat behind.
Potiphar’s wife was very cross. She told a lie.
She told Potiphar that Joseph had tried to hurt her.

Potiphar was very angry.
He sent Joseph to prison.
But God was with Joseph in the prison.
The prison guard trusted Joseph.
