The rich young man – Mark 10:18-23

A young man came to see Jesus.
He had a lot of money.
He was very rich.
He asked Jesus how he could get to heaven.

Jesus said.
‘Do not tell lies.
Do not steal.
Do not cheat.
Love your mother and father’.

The man told Jesus he loved his mother and father.
He did not do bad things.
He did not steal or cheat or tell lies.

Jesus said to him.
‘Give all your money away to the poor.
Come and be my friend’.

The young man was very sad.
He would not give his money to the poor.
He did not want to go with Jesus.
He went away.

Jesus was sad.
He loved the young man.

Jesus loves us.
He wants us to do what he asks.
