The two builders – Matthew 7:24-27

Jesus knows the people who really love him.
He knows when he sees how they behave.
Some people say that they love Jesus.
They do not really love him.
They do not do what Jesus asks them to do.

Jesus said,
“Anyone who does what I ask is like a man.
This man built his house on a rock.
It was a very strong house.
It was built on a strong rock.
When a big storm came, it did not fall down.
When bad things happened to it, it was safe.

Some people only say that they love me.
They do not obey me.
They are like another man.
This man built a house.
He built his house on sand.
When the storm came, it fell down.
When bad things happened, it just fell down.”
