How Do We Know That God Loves Us?

The Bible says:

Then everyone who believes in him may have life that never ends. God loved all the people of the world very much. He gave his Son to save them. All those who believe in his Son will have this life'. (John 3:16)

This is how we know what love is. Christ gave his own life and he died for us. Therefore, we ought to give our lives for our brothers and sisters. (1 John 3:16)

This is how God showed his love among us. God sent his one and only Son into the world. He came so that we might live by him. This is what love is. It is not that we have loved God. It is that he loved us. God sent his son as the sacrifice to die for us. He died to take away our sins. (1 John 4:9-10)
