9:1-27 Make a dramatic story from these events and act it out as a play.

Your play might be in several parts: 9:1-2; 3-14; 15-19; 20; 21-23; 24-27.

9:1 When did these events happen? Where did they happen? Who was the king? What do you know about him? (See also Daniel 5:30–31.)

9:2 What did Daniel do? What had he read? What had he learned? What do you think about all that?

9:3 What was Daniel's reaction to what he had learned? What do you think about what he did?

9:4 List the details of how Daniel started this prayer. What does he know about God?

9:5 What does Daniel say about himself and the other people from his country? What do you think about that?

9:6 What did the Jews not do? What had God's special servants done? What do you think about that?

9:7 What does Daniel say that the Lord always does? What does he say about himself and the other Jews? What has happened because they have not been loyal to God?

9:8 Who does Daniel say are ashamed? Why? What might we be ashamed of now?

9:9 What does the ' Lord our God' do? How might that affect us?

9:10 What have Daniel and his people not done? What has the ' Lord our God' done? What do you think about that?

9:11 Who did not obey God's laws? What did they read? What did God do? Why? What do you think about all that?

9:12 What do you learn? Should Daniel and the rulers have expected those experiences? Why?

9:13 What has God done? What does Daniel think about their punishment? Did the punishment have a good effect? What do you think about that?

9:18 Why does Daniel expect the Lord to answer his prayer?

9:19 For what reasons does Daniel ask the Lord to listen to him? And to forgive them? What would be different if the Lord did what Daniel asked? Suppose that you wanted to pray like Daniel. What parts would you need to include in your prayer?
