One night Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. Some shepherds were looking after their sheep in the fields nearby.

Suddenly they saw an angel from God in the sky. The sky shone with light. The shepherds were afraid.

But the angel said, 'Do not be afraid. I have some good news. You and all the people in the world will be very happy. Today a baby has been born. He is lying in a stable. His name is Jesus. He is God's son. He is going to save the world.'

Then lots of other angels came into the sky. They sang and praised God. Then the angels went back into heaven.

The shepherds wanted to meet Jesus. They ran across the fields to Bethlehem. They found the stable. They found the baby Jesus. They thanked and praised God.

They told everyone that they had met Jesus.

1. The shepherds were very happy to hear about Jesus.

2. They wanted to meet Jesus very much.

3. They went straight away to find Jesus.
