Jesus went into the temple.

The temple was like a big church.

When he went inside, he saw people selling things.

There were stalls like a market in the church.

The people were being cheated of their money.

Jesus was not happy to see this.

He turned the stalls over.

Everything was spilt on the ground.

He told the people who were selling things to go away.

“This place is a place for prayer.

You are turning it into a den of thieves”, Jesus said.

Blind people and sick people came to Jesus and he made them well.

Children shouted, “Praise him.”

The leaders were angry. “Do you hear them?” they asked.

Jesus replied, “The Bible says,

‘Praise will sound from the lips of children.’ ”

Matthew 21:28-32.
