The leaders tried to find a way to catch Jesus.

They wanted to have him killed.

They wanted to do it secretly.

They were afraid that the people would stop them.

A man who said he was Jesus' friend went to the leaders.

His name was Judas.

He said he would help them to catch Jesus.

He would look for a good time.

He would do it without the people knowing about it.

He would do it when there were no crowds of people near Jesus.

The leaders were very pleased.

They said they would give Judas some money.

Judas liked to have money.
