Jesus and his friends have a meal together – Luke 22:7-34

Jesus told two of his friends to make a meal.
It was to be a special meal.
"Where will we do this?" they asked.
"Go to the city. A man will meet you.
The man will be carrying a big jar of water.
Follow him to his house.
He will show you a big room upstairs.
Make the meal for us there", said Jesus.
The two friends did exactly what Jesus told them.
In the evening, Jesus and his 12 friends met in the room.
They all sat at the table.
"I really wanted to eat this meal with you", said Jesus.
"It will be the last time I eat a meal with you."

Jesus took some bread; he thanked God for it.
He broke the bread.
He gave the bread to his friends.
"Do this to remember me", Jesus said.
After dinner he took the cup of wine.
Jesus said, "Take this cup and drink some wine to remember me."
Then Jesus said, "Someone here is going to betray me to my enemies."
The friends all wondered who Jesus was talking about.

Peter said, "I am willing to go to prison and to death with you."
Jesus replied, "Let me tell you this Peter.
Before the cock crows this morning you will say you do not know me.
You will say three times that you don't know me."
