Joseph’s dreams
(from Genesis chapter 37 verses 3 to 11)

Joseph was Jacob’s son.  He was 17 years old.

He looked after the sheep with his brothers.

He told Jacob about all the bad things they were doing.

Jacob loved Joseph very much.

He loved him more than his other sons.

He gave Joseph a coloured coat.

Joseph’s brothers hated him.

Joseph had a dream.

In the dream Joseph was gathering corn.

His brothers were gathering corn.

The piles of corn Joseph made stood up.

The piles of corn his brothers made fell over.

They bowed down to Joseph’s piles of corn.

Joseph told his brothers about the dream.

They were very angry.

They hated Joseph more than ever.

They said that Joseph thought

he was better than them.

Joseph had another dream.

In this dream the sun and moon and stars

bowed down to Joseph.

Joseph told his brothers about the dream.

He told his father about the dream.

Jacob was angry.

He said Joseph was being very proud.
