Isaac and Rebekah have two sons – Genesis 25:19-34

Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah.
Rebekah could not have children.
So Isaac prayed to God.
God heard him. God answered Isaac’s prayer.
Rebekah had twin sons.
The first son was called Esau.
The second son was called Jacob.
God told Isaac that the boys would not like each other.

The boys grew up.
Esau was very good at hunting. He liked to go out.
Isaac liked Esau best.
Jacob was quiet. He liked to stay at home.
Rebekah liked Jacob best.

Esau was the eldest son
so he would get
a special present from Isaac.
It was called a birthright.
One day Jacob was cooking some stew.
Esau came home. He was very hungry.
He asked Jacob for some stew.
Jacob said he could have some
if he gave him the birthright.
Esau was so hungry he said yes.
Esau did not care about the birthright.
He did not care about his father or God.
