Thanking God for making us better – Psalm 30

I will praise you Lord.
You made me better when I was ill.
You did not leave me alone.
I called to you and you made me well.
You saved me from dying.

Sing to the Lord
Everyone who loves him.
Thank him.
His love never ends.
Sadness only lasts for the night
but there is joy when the morning comes.

When I felt well and safe,
it was like standing on a strong mountain.
Then you seemed to go away.
I was very unhappy.
I did not know what to do.

I cried to you and said,
‘What good would I be if I died?
I cannot praise you then.
I cannot tell everyone how good you are.
Please hear me.
Please help me.’

You heard me.
You stopped my crying.
Now I am dancing.
Now I am very happy.
I sing to you.
I will not stop singing to you.
I will thank you for ever.

God makes us better.
God saves us.
Let us thank him.
