Isaiah says that God’s saved people will be happy in heaven forever – Isaiah 35:8-10

Isaiah was a man who lived about 700 years before Jesus.
Isaiah wrote a book.
God helped Isaiah to write his book.
The book was about what God would do in the future.
In his book Isaiah wrote:

There will be a road to heaven.
The road will be called ‘God’s Holy Road’.
No bad people can walk on that road.
No foolish people can walk on that road.
Only God’s saved people can walk on that road.
And God will walk with them there.

There will be no lions on the road.
There will be no wild animals on the road.
There will be no dangers on the road.
Only God’s saved people will walk on that road.
And God will walk with them there.

These saved people will walk along that road to their home in heaven.
They will always sing happy songs.
Their happy songs will last forever.
They will never feel sad again.
They will never feel worried again.
They will know only gladness.
They will know only joy.
They will wear their joy and gladness like a crown on their heads.

Later in the Bible a man called John wrote:

Before Jesus died, he said to his friends:
‘Do not be worried.
Trust my father God and trust me.
My father God lives in heaven.
He has lots of room there for lots of people.
I am going there now.
I will get a place ready for all of you.
Then I will come back and fetch you.
We will be together again.

You know where I am going.
You know how to get there.
You know because I am the road.
I am also the truth and the life.
The only way to get to God is by following me.

When I die, the world will be happy.
But you will be sad.
Then suddenly you will see me again.
You will stop feeling sad.
You will feel very very happy.
Nobody will be able to stop you from feeling so happy.
You will feel happy forever.’

Isaiah had said that God’s saved people would be happy in heaven forever.
Jesus said that God’s saved people would be happy in heaven forever.
Lots of things Isaiah said came true in Jesus.
Isaiah and Jesus said the same thing.
We can believe their words will come true.
We can believe that God’s saved people will be happy in heaven forever.
