Luke 5:1-11

Jesus calls the first disciples to follow him

About the next group of questions

Jesus wanted to call some men to follow him all the time. Today he calls some people to leave their jobs and to do a special thing for him. Miracles help us to see who Jesus is. And they help us to obey him.

Pray

Ask God to help you to understand. And ask him to help you to learn from what you study.

Final remarks

Simon and his friends saw a great miracle. And Simon suddenly realised that Jesus was more than a man. Simon knew that he had done wrong things. And he knew that he did not deserve to be with Jesus. But Jesus told him to come and follow him. Jesus knew that Peter could become useful to him.

Pray

Jesus, I know that you can do miracles. And I know that I do wrong things like Simon. Please forgive me and use me. Amen.
