13:15 Why did Jesus call him, and other people like him, hypocrites?

13:16 Who was more important to God? Was it the woman who needed healing or animals that need water? Who is more powerful, Satan or Jesus?

Final remarks

Satan does sometimes make people ill. But Jesus healed the woman. So, he proved that he is stronger than Satan. Jesus does not like it when people are hypocrites. The ruler of the synagogue did not do certain things on the Sabbath day. He thought that this pleased God. But God would rather that we help people in need.

Pray

Lord Jesus, you have shown us that each person is important. Thank you that you showed us that. You heal me and you give me hope. I praise you for all your powerful care for me. Help me never to be a hypocrite. Teach me to obey you when you ask me to do something. Amen.
