Romans 16:1-2

Paul gives messages to his friends in Rome

1 I want you to know that Phoebe, our Christian friend, is a good person. She is a servant of the church at Cenchrea. 2 Please be kind to her when she comes to you, because you belong to the Lord. Help her in the way that God's people ought to help one another. Give her the things that she needs. She has worked to help me and many other people also.

16:2Phoebe probably took this letter to Rome for Paul. Cenchrea was a port in the south part of the country that we now call Greece. It was about 13 kilometres (8 miles) south-east of Corinth.
