Psalm 145
This is a psalm that David wrote to praise God.
God is great and he is kind

1 I will praise you, my God and my King.
I will always say how great you are!
2 I will praise you every day!
Yes, I will always say how great you are!
3 The Lord is great and we should always praise him!
He is greater than anyone can understand!
4 Parents will tell their children about you.
They will all praise your powerful acts.
5 They will speak about your great glory.
I too will think carefully about your wonderful acts.
6 People will talk about the powerful things that you have done.
I too will say how great you are!
7 Everyone will say how good and kind you are.
They will sing with joy about your justice.
8 Yes, the Lord is very kind and patient!
He shows how great his faithful love is.
9 The Lord is good to everyone.
He takes care of everything that he has made.
10 Everything that the Lord has made will thank him.
Your own people will praise you, Lord!
11 They will say that your kingdom has great glory!
They will speak about your royal power.
12 Then everyone will agree that you do great things.
They will know about the glory of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom will remain for ever.
You will rule as king through every generation.
The Lord always does what he promises to do.
He is faithful in everything that he does.

14 The Lord lifts up everyone who falls.
He helps everyone who feels weak.
15 Everyone looks to you for help.
You provide food for everything at the right time.
16 You are ready to give with an open hand.
You give food to every living thing, as much as they need.
17 The Lord is fair in everything that he does.
He always shows his faithful love.
18 The Lord is ready to help everyone,
if they pray to him in an honest way.
19 He helps those who respect and obey him.
He saves them when they call to him for help.
20 The Lord protects everyone who loves him,
but he destroys all wicked people.
21 I will speak aloud to praise the Lord!
Everyone who lives should praise his holy name for ever!
