Luke 5:24

24 But I want you to know this. I, the Son of Man, have authority here on earth. I can forgive people for the wrong things that they have done.’

5:24Jesus often spoke about himself as the Son of Man. He used this to cause people to think about some messages in the Old Testament. See Daniel 7:13-14.

Then he said to the man who could not walk, ‘I am saying to you, “Stand up. Pick up your mat and go home!” ’
