Jesus walks on the lake
Jesus sat on a quiet hillside.
He talked to God. He prayed.
His friends were out in their boat.
They were rowing the boat.
The wind was blowing.
The waves were big.
A storm was coming.
It was hard to row the boat.
Jesus saw them. He wanted to help.
Suddenly the people in the boat saw a man.
He was walking on top of the water.
He was beside the boat.
They were afraid.
They shouted for help.
It was Jesus.
He walked on the water. He did not fall in.
‘Don’t be afraid’.
‘It’s only me’, said Jesus.
He climbed into the boat with his friends.
The storm stopped.
They were safe. Jesus was with them.

Jesus will help us when we are in trouble.
We just need to ask him.
