Jacob goes back to Bethel |
God told Jacob to go back to Bethel and live there.
God told Jacob to worship him there.
So Jacob and his family threw away all the idols.
They all went to Bethel. They thanked God.
God had been with them. He had helped them.
God kept his promise.
God came to Jacob again. He blessed Jacob.
God called him Israel. God said,
“You will be great. Some of your family will be kings.
I will give this land to you.”
Jacob thanked God.
He praised him there at Bethel.
