Messiah – meaning in Easy English

A Hebrew word that means ‘anointed person.’ In the Greek language the word is ‘Christ.’ Jesus Christ means Jesus the Messiah. It means the person whom God would send to save his people and to rule them. God promised the Jewish people that the Messiah would come to rescue them, and to be their king. Jesus is the Messiah that God promised to send.
