The Story of The Seeds and The Soil

Introduction
Every farmer knows that he must plant his seeds in good ground. Seeds are expensive. Also, they are important. People need seeds to make flour. And they need flour to make bread.
A farmer plants this kind of seed for only one purpose. He wants more seeds. Then he will have seeds that he can sell. And he will have food that he can eat.
Jesus did not explain his story to the people. He wanted them to think about it. God had sent a message to them. So it was clear that he had a purpose. This was like the purpose that the farmer had.
Questions to ask
(v4:5) What do you learn about this seed and this soil?
(v4:7) What was happening? What was the result?
(v4:8) What happened to the other seeds?
(v4:9) What do you think that Jesus really meant?
(v11) What did Jesus say that his
(v12) You read about some people who see. And those people also hear. But what do you learn about those people? What will not happen for those people?
(v14) What was this person really doing?
(v16-17) Some seeds fell in soil that was on the rocks. Why do some people stop believing about Jesus?
(v18-19) What do you learn about the seeds that fell among the bushes? God's message does not bring results for these people. What stops it?
(v20) Who are those people that are like good soil? How many more seeds (results) do they make?

Think about your own life. What can you do to 'make more seeds' in your life?
Talk in your group about the soil. Think about whether this story can teach us something today.
