3:1 Where did Jesus go? Who was there?

3:2 What did people want to accuse Jesus of? What did they watch for? Why might they think that Jesus should not do that? Do you agree with them?

3:3 Who did Jesus speak to? What did Jesus ask that person to do?

3:4 What choices did Jesus give? What answer did the people give?

3:5 What emotion did Jesus have? Why did he have that emotion? What did Jesus do for the man?

3:6 Use your own words to express these ideas. The Pharisees did two things. When did they do those things?

3:7-12 You might use your own words to express this. And then you might want to act it as a play.

3:7 Where did Jesus go? Who was Jesus with?

3:8 Do you know how far these people had walked? Why did the people come?

3:9 What was happening? What plan did Jesus have? Who would help Jesus?

3:10 What was happening?

3:11 Who fell in front of Jesus? Who did they say that Jesus is?

3:12 What did Jesus not want these people to do?

3:13-19 You might use your own words to express this. And then you might want to act it as a play.

3:13 Where did Jesus go? What happened?

3:14 What did Jesus do? Why did he do that?

3:15 What else did Jesus want his disciples to do?

3:16 Use your own words to express this.

3:17 What two or three things do you learn about James and John?

3:18 What do you learn about these disciples?

3:19 What do you learn about Judas?

3:20-30 You might use your own words to express this. And then you might want to act it as a play.

3:20 What happened? What was difficult?

3:21 What was happening?

3:22 What do you learn about these people who came? What were these people saying about Jesus?

3:23 What did Jesus do? How did he speak to these people? What did Jesus ask them?

3:24 What do you learn? Why might this surprise someone?

3:25 What do you think about this?

3:26 What do you learn?

3:27 Do you learn some new, unusual knowledge here? Why might that be?

3:28 Jesus said that he was telling the truth. What is a possible reason why he said that? Do you think that Jesus might tell you something untrue? What things can God forgive someone for?

3:29 What kind of person can God never forgive? Why can God not forgive such a person, do you think?

3:30 Why did Jesus start to talk about what God can forgive someone for?
