Luke 2:21‑40

Joseph and Mary bring Jesus to the temple

About the next group of questions

Joseph and Mary obeyed the laws of the Jews' religion. When they took Jesus to the temple, a priest circumcised him. And he gave him a name. While they were there, they met two people. Those people were both expecting Jesus to come. After that, Joseph’s family went to a different town where Jesus grew up to be a man.

Final remarks

Joseph and Mary loved God and they wanted to obey his laws. They knew that they had to take care of his son Jesus. And they knew that they should do everything that they could for him. Some people recognised who Jesus was. They recognized him even when he was a baby. They gave him honour as God’s son.

Pray

Lord Jesus, I too want to worship you. Help me to know you more. And help me to obey you even as Mary and Joseph did. Amen.
