The story of the evil farmers

A story that Jesus told about the owner of some land and some evil farmers

The rich man needs the farm to live. When he leaves, he trusts farmers to look after the farm. The rich man has people who work for him when he’s away. He also has a son who works for him now and will own the farm when the father dies.

Words to explain

Parable ~ a story, like those that Jesus told to explain the things that he taught; a saying or a story from which you can understand two things; a story that has a secret meaning.

Tenants ~ people who pay money for the place that they live in or for land or buildings that they use.

Vineyard ~ place where grapes grow.
