Roman ~ (B) ~ a person from Rome. Rome was the most famous city in the world at the time of Jesus. Their soldiers fought and defeated many countries. They made the people obey the rules of Rome. They made them pay taxes to Rome. The people could not rule themselves, but they had to obey the laws of Rome.

Roman ~ (B) ~ Rome was the capital city of the rulers at that time. That which belonged to Rome was Roman.
