grave ~ (A) ~ a hole in the ground where there is a dead person.
grave ~ (A) ~ a hole in the ground where they bury dead bodies.
grave ~ (A) ~ a place in the ground to put dead people.
grave ~ (B) ~ Many ancient graves were caves in the rock. People would lay the body in the grave. They might cover the body with cloth. And they might place plants with strong smells on the body. Then they would leave the grave with a large rock at its entrance.
