Jesus went to a lonely place in the desert.

He did not eat anything for 40 days.

He was very hungry.

Satan came to see Jesus.

He said, “If you are God’s Son, change the stones into bread.”

Jesus said, “You do not only need bread.

That feeds your body.

To really live you need God’s word too.

That feeds your soul.”

Satan took Jesus to the top of a very high building.

“Jump off here. God will not let you hurt yourself”, Satan said to Jesus.

The Bible says, “Do not try to test God”, said Jesus.

Then Satan took Jesus to the top of a very high mountain.

Satan said, “I will make you King of all the world

if you bow down to me.”

Jesus replied, “Go away Satan.

The Bible says, ‘You must only worship and bow down to God’.”

Satan went away.

Angels came down and cared for Jesus.

Matthew 4:1-11.
